DEN GAMLE FABRIK spreads

The „fruitfull" sales success from Denmark

DEN GAMLE FABRIK (English translation - "The Old Manufactory") spreads/jams are based on old Danish traditions and recipes. The history of DEN GAMLE FABRIK dates back to 1834, where the famous Strawberrycellar in Kopenhagen served fresh and prepared fruits and berries.

In 1993 Aktieselskabet Beauvais acquired DEN GAMLE FABRIK and thereby the rights to use the brand DEN GAMLE FABRIK. The production-concept, however, was not changed and is the very same as in the early years, allthough production nowadays takes place in a modern factory built to meet the demands of traditional home cooking.

The new location ensures processing of DEN GAMLE FABRIK spreads and jams in accordance to present international food standards.

As the market leader in Denmark with a market share of approxemately 50% and export sales to various European markets and to selected markets overseas, DEN GAMLE FABRIK never compromises on quality. Only the very best fruits and ingredients are used.

The keys to DEN GAMLE FABRIK's success in spreads and jams are:

- A large part of whole first class berries and pieces of fruit that emphasise the natural fruit taste.

- Prepared without boiling to preserve consistency, flavour and freshness with a genuine homemade taste.

- Marketed as a delicacy because of the low sugar content compared to traditional high-sugar spreads.

The wide assortment offers the consumers a variety of well known as well as exotic spreads.
